We are looking to add to our experienced team of Trainers/Assessors. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Installation & Maintenance Trainer in our Ulverston centre.
The role is to deliver, assess and where necessary offer support to learners engaged in Electrical courses up to level 3, in accordance with the awarding body guidelines.

You do not have to hold a formal teaching qualification to apply for the trainer / lecturer roles as these will be provided.
The Role
What you will be doing:
- Deliver and assess Electrical Engineering courses up to and including level three.
- Develop and maintain the current Electrical Installation and Engineering course material including lesson plans and schemes of work for a range of courses.
- Assist in assessing, changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
- Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
- Review course content and delivery methods on a regular basis.
- Assume responsibility for meeting your course and learner performance goals.
- Ensure all relevant evidence of learning is accurately and correctly documented and completed for each learner.
- Provide feedback and support to learners on a one-to-one/group basis.
- Assist in the overall development of the training centre.
- Assist in the delivery of course material outside the subject of Electrical Installation & engineering.
- Prepare and assist in internal and external audits.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Trainer.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students.
A successful candidate will have proven experience in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.
You will also:
- Be competent in domestic or industrial installation & maintenance, ideally holding your 18th Edition certification.
- Possess a level three qualification in Electrical Installation and NVQ or AM2.
- Have sound knowledge of Electrical Installation & Electrical engineering principles.
- Have good numeracy, literacy, and computer skills.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with learners, employers, and other professionals.
- Hold a Full driving Licence as you may be asked to deliver training from our Workington and Carlisle centres.
