Position: Patient Care Technician, Med/Surg Acute 1, Full Time, Night Shift, Ukiah Valley

Job Description

Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties involving the observation of cardiac monitors, interpretation and documentation of Cardiac Rhythm strips. Provides personal patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Job Requirements
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent:
    Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience:
    Preferred
  • Medical secretary/receptionist experience:
    Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQIBLS) American Heart Association:
    Required
Essential Functions
  • Assists with patient care activities as needed under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or shift leader. Maintains work area(s) and equipment through cleaning, stocking and ordering of supplies.
  • Takes and records vital signs, including pain scale according to established policies and procedures.
  • Performs clerical duties, including chart management and maintaining unit supplies and forms. Manages front desk, assembling and maintaining medical charts.
  • Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
