Short-Term, Non-Continuing Associate Teacher, I – IV
Mendocino-Lake Community College District is accepting applications for a Short-Term, Non-Continuing Associate Teacher, I – IV, for our Child Development Center. This temporary, non-continuing position is open until filled. We seek an equity‑minded person committed to supporting our diverse student population and the District Mission. Salary and BenefitsThis is a Short‑Term Non‑Continuing (STNC) position, hourly, 10 hours per week up to 20‑40 hours per week, $19.45‑$22.12 per hour. Benefits include a Bronze‑level benefit plan at employee cost. Paid sick leave: 40 hours per fiscal year. Possible eligibility for CalPERS Retirement based on hours worked.
Representative Duties Associate Teacher IV- Supervises children during classroom activities
- Applies and follows proper safety and emergency procedures
- Assists in supervising and training Assistant Teachers, CDV students, Associate Teachers I–III, parents, and volunteers
- Prepares curriculum materials as needed
- Conducts small and large group activities
- Individualizes plans with each child’s needs in mind
- Follows verbal and written instructions
- Maintains compliance with the Center’s rules and policies
- Shares responsibility for non‑instructional tasks
- Participates in staff meetings, team meetings, and attends in‑service trainings as scheduled
- Performs general cleanup duties to straighten and organize the Center
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude with children, staff, and parents
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Supervises children of the center
- Provides work direction and feedback to Associate Teachers I–III, Assistant Teachers, CDV students, parents, and volunteers
- Supervises children during classroom activities
