Warehouse Operative
Aylesbury
Responsibilities- Goods inwards:
Receiving and inspecting goods upon arrival including checking quantities and storing in correct location. Checking for damage and missing items. - Stock control:
Regular stock takes, coordinating quarantine stock materials and dealing with any stock discrepancies. - Goods outwards:
Picking and packing customer orders accurately to meet deadlines and to the correct specification. Dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork. - Manual handling:
Re-palletise containers up to 25kg each and move stock around by hand when required. - Keeping the warehouse clean and organised to optimise efficiency.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks.
- Ensuring workplace safety by following Health and Safety regulations.
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, have a strong attention to detail, good numeracy and literacy skills and a high level of physical fitness. Experience of working in a warehouse environment with a racking system and being a qualified forklift truck driver is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. They must be able to work as part of a team, but also independently.
HoursMonday – Thursday 9:00 – 17:30 and Friday 9:00 – 17:00
