Jackson Hogg have partnered with a leading logistics business in Middlesbrough that is looking to appoint a Scandinavian Groupage Operator on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Organising both groupage and full-load trailer movements between the UK and Scandinavia.
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced office environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Negotiating rates with hauliers and arranging collections to meet sailing schedules.
  • Providing competitive quotations in a timely manner.
  • Obtaining, checking, and preparing documentation to meet customs, insurance, and packing requirements.
  • Creating export and import declarations where required.
  • Delivering excellent customer service, maintaining clear communication and responding professionally to queries or complaints.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer and client relationships.
  • Supporting the wider team and undertaking additional reasonable tasks as required by management.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, quality, and environmental procedures, as well as relevant trade compliance regulations.
What we're looking for

  • Previous experience within logistics, freight forwarding, or transport operations is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • A friendly, professional, and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
