HG Recruitment are hiring a CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER for a long term, high value client in ALPHINGTON, EXETER
. The role involves transporting automotive parts and materials between plants, suppliers, and logistics hubs to support smooth production and on time deliveries.
Monday Friday shifts
, with both day and night options available and separate earnings for each. This is a temporary role with a view to becoming a permanent position.

DUTIES:

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER must carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary

Requirements:

• HGV C+E, HGV Class 2 licence minimum 6 months
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver s Hours)
• Good national geographical awareness
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
