Lorry Driver

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of poles and equipment to various sites, using a HIAB for loading and unloading.

• Operate a pole lorry, using a HIAB for loading and unloading.
• Ensure the safe transportation of poles and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Interact with internal and external customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.

• Valid HGV license (Category C or C+E).
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Experience operating a lorry with a crane or HIAB.
• Good driving record and knowledge of road safety regulations relating to HGV usage.

• The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV license (Category C or C+E), CPC certification, and experience operating lorries equipped with cranes.
• Flexibility with working hours is essential, especially during emergencies or storm conditions, as part of our SSEN license responsibilities.
• A strong safety focus, good driving record, and commitment to excellent customer service is key to success in this role.
