Supervising Social Worker - Swindon

An established fostering agency is currently seeking a dedicated Supervising Social Workers to join their supportive team. This role is designed for a practitioner who values having a genuine voice within their organisation and thrives in an environment where creativity and professional passion are encouraged. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping positive outcomes for children and families.

Summary of Job
  • Location: Based in Swindon
  • Caseload: Two post available - 1 covering Oxford and Swindon & 1 covering Gloucester and Swindon.
  • Purpose: To provide high-quality supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care.
  • Culture: A collaborative atmosphere that prioritises professional growth, manageable workloads, and a healthy work-life balance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a manageable caseload of up to 13 fostering families.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with carers and multi-agency colleagues.
  • Ensure all safeguarding protocols and fostering legislation's are strictly adhered to.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service by sharing ideas and innovative practices.
  • Participate in a telephone-only out-of-hours support rota to assist carers when needed.
  • Facilitate therapeutic support and guidance to help carers navigate complex challenges.
