Introduction
I’m a 20-year-old looking for support to be more independent in my community. I don’t use a wheelchair but can get tired and need help sometimes. I’m chatty once I get to know you, and I enjoy trying new things if they involve dogs.
DutiesWhat you’ll help me with:
- Walking with me and my dog
- Know a lot about dogs and help me find new fun places to walk him
- Support me with money when I’m buying things
- Teach me how to use the bus and train
- Help me think of new things to try and explore
This role involves providing support outside the home.
You’ll work 4 hours per week, scheduled between 10:00am and 2:00pm on weekdays. Shifts may be arranged as either one 4-hour session or two 2-hour sessions, depending on the planned activities and preferences.
Rate£14 per hour
Essential RequirementsI am looking for a female support worker aged 18–35 who’s active, reliable, and has a genuine love for dogs.
You must have:
- Experience of supporting people
- Comfortable driving an automatic car — you’ll be added to the car insurance so you can use my car.
- Okay with a bit of dog hair and happy to be around cats
