Supported Housing Officer
£14.50 per hour | 36.5 hours per week (Temp Contract for min 3 months) | Mon-Fri | Alveston, South Gloucestershire
Make a real impact by supporting vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness to build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards independent living.
The RoleYou'll provide psychologically informed, person‑centred support to a caseload of 12 residents (aged 18-65) within an 18‑bed supported housing service.
Your support will help residents sustain their tenancy, access essential services, and progress into long‑term housing.
- Deliver tailored 1‑to‑1 support
- Work closely with external agencies
- Maintain accurate case notes and support plans
- Safeguard vulnerable adults in line with procedures
- Promote equality, inclusion and resident empowerment
- Contribute to service improvement and positive change
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults in supported housing
- Understanding of homelessness, safeguarding and PIE approaches
- Strong communication, engagement and advocacy skills
- Confidence managing a varied caseload and good IT literacy
Desirable: experience with mental health, domestic abuse, trauma‑informed practice, parenting support or reflective practice.
