Supervising Social Worker – National Fostering Group, Devon Office
Compensation and HoursBase salary: £36,000 – £46,000 (dependent on experience). After a successful 6‑month probationary period you may be eligible for a 4‑day working week (80 % of the hours for 100 % pay) – a performance‑based benefit.

As a key member of our social work team, you will support the placement of vulnerable children and young people into foster home environments, supervise and advise foster carers, and ensure that children and carers receive the support they need to thrive. You will visit homes, maintain regular contact with carers and young people, collaborate with specialist clinical teams, and uphold our high standards of safeguarding and care.

- Visit homes and maintain contact with carers and young people.
- Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to deliver appropriate support services.
- Maintain low caseloads to focus on person‑centred care and outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and high standards are maintained.
- BA or MA degree in Social Work.
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
- Full driving licence.
- Previous social work experience, particularly with young people who have traumatic and enhanced needs.
- Passion for fostering and a commitment to supporting carers.
- Up to 40 days annual leave (26 base days + 1 “One Moment in Time” + 8 bank holidays + option to purchase up to 5 extra days).
