Salary: £42,757 per annum + overtime + standby payments

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This field-based position involves servicing and maintaining a wide range of chilled and frozen display and storage equipment across the food service, hospitality, and food & beverage retail sectors.

Working with a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services across commercial refrigeration systems. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to an engineer who enjoys technical variety, working independently, and providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and equipment

• Diagnose system faults and carry out efficient breakdown repairs

• Ensure all work is completed in line with industry regulations and company safety standards

• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams regarding completed work and recommended actions

• Complete and maintain accurate service reports and documentation

• Participate in the on-call rota as required

• Deliver high standards of customer service and technical support

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Valid F-Gas Certification (essential applicants without this will not be considered)

• Minimum 10 years experience in the commercial refrigeration sector

• Experience working within restaurants, hospitality, or food retail environments

• Strong technical understanding of commercial refrigeration systems

• Professional, reliable, and able to perform effectively during busy summer peak periods

• Ability to work independently in a mobile engineering role

• Full UK driving licence
