45 per week (07:30 - 17:30)
Rate: 30.00 per hour (Umbrella)

The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Operative (Shuttering Joiner / Carpenter) to support works at Pembroke 400kV Substation as part of a major extension project. This is a full-time temporary position to provide additional capacity within the Energy division, working on a live infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and installation of formwork
• Placing and finishing concrete
• Working accurately to Temporary Works Designs
• Assisting steel fixers with installation of rebar
• Constructing signage frames and ad hoc timber items as required
• Supporting reinforcement installation where required
• Maintaining strict adherence to site health & safety procedures

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in formwork and shuttering carpentry
• NVQ (or equivalent) in Formwork/Carpentry
• National Grid Person ticket (mandatory)
• Manual Handling certificate
• Experience working to Temporary Works Designs
• Full PPE (must be in place before attending site)

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Slinger/Signaller
• Banksman
• 3 Day First Aid

Additional Information:

• 45 hours per week
• 07:30 - 17:30 working day
• Umbrella payment only
• IR35 pre-assessment completed
