Position: Stone Mason Bricklayer (Temporary)
Location: West Horrington

Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Stonemason / Bricklayer for a 12‑week project in the BA5 3LB
area. The role involves a mix of natural stone work, bricklaying and restoration tasks, working on a quality construction project. Immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out high‑quality stonework, including cutting, shaping, dressing and laying stone.

* Complete bricklaying and blockwork to site specifications.

* Perform restoration tasks, including repointing and repairs to stone and brick structures.

* Work from drawings, plans and instructions from site management.

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety.

* Communicate effectively with site teams and work independently when needed.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Stonemason, Bricklayer, or General Mason.

* Skilled with natural stone, lime mortars, brickwork and blockwork.

* CSCS Card – Skilled Worker/Blue preferred, but experienced workers with the right background considered.

* Full set of masonry tools.

* PPE and ability to start immediately.

Desirable (Not Essential)

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Stone masonry or Bricklaying

* Heritage / restoration project experience

* Lime mortar experience

* SSSTS, First Aid or other site certifications

* Own transport due to location
