Key Responsibilities:
Load Preparation:
Attaching and detaching loads safely to lifting equipment.
Equipment Selection:
Choosing the right lifting accessories (slings, shackles, beams) for the specific lift.
Communication:
Giving clear, standard hand signals or radio instructions to the crane operator.
Hazard Identification:
Assessing site conditions, load weight, and potential obstacles, stopping lifts if necessary.
Supervision:
Overseeing the entire lifting process from start to finish, ensuring safe placement.
Safety Checks:
Inspecting lifting gear before and after use.
Qualifications:
CPCS/NPORS required.
UK RTW required.
