I’m supporting a well-established engineering services business that, due to continued growth across its High Voltage (HV) private networks, is looking to appoint an experienced Industrial Electrician. This is a critical operational and client-facing role, supporting the delivery of installation, maintenance, and commissioning works on private electrical infrastructure operating between 24kV and 33kV.

The business operates across a wide-ranging electrical site environment, delivering systems from fire alarms and CCTV through to private HV distribution networks, providing long-term stability and a varied technical workload.

Job Description

Deliver installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning on private HV networks (11kV–33kV).
Carry out HV switching, isolations, earthing, and safety documentation in line with procedures.
Manage the contracts and sites you look after, including a small, manageable amount of project management.
Oversee installation, maintenance, and some design-related activity across HV and wider electrical systems.
Lead site Health & Safety and provide technical leadership to engineers, electricians, and subcontractors.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications

HV Senior Authorisation (DNO or equivalent) with HV Private Networks experience.
Background as a Senior Authorised Person, Instrumentation & Control Engineer, or similar with strong power knowledge.
Solid understanding of three-phase electrics, HV switch gear, protection systems, and maintenance practices.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical contracting, industrial, or HV environment.
HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and City & Guilds HV Operational Safety.
