Caretaker - Meadowhead School

We are looking to recruit a Caretaker to support the day-to-day maintenance, operational running, and security of the site and its facilities. This role involves ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained, while providing a professional and responsive service to staff and visitors.

Please note: This position requires working during holiday periods and outside of term time.

• Carry out building fabric repairs, adjustments, installations, and removals.
• Undertake and record weekly checks, ensuring all maintenance work is completed on time and in line with Health & Safety standards.
• Manage site security, including unlocking and locking doors, and ensuring the premises remain secure and accessible.
• Liaise with and monitor contractors, including cleaning teams.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, customers, and clients.
• Report any incidents that may affect service delivery or customer satisfaction.

• Previous experience in facilities management or a similar caretaking role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
• Flexible and adaptable to handle a wide range of tasks within skill set.
• Commitment to personal development and willingness to attend regular appraisals
