General Maintenance Person

Join to apply for the GENERAL MAINTENANCE PERSON role at Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd

Reporting directly to the Health & Safety and Facilities Manager, you will be part of a small maintenance team and be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance as and when required.

• Provide general site maintenance across the Ulting site, some additional branches and residential properties.
• Opportunity to work on project work and small refurbishments.
• Attend training courses as required to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area within the workshop.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the company’s Health and Safety policy and follow all company procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

• Previous experience of carpentry, building repairs and painting/decorating.
• Good understanding of general building work.
• Basic plumbing knowledge would be an advantage.
• Able to work alone and use own initiative or work as part of a team.
• Must adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Self-motivated.
• Good general level of health and fitness (heavy lifting involved).
• Good general appearance.
• Full clean driving licence.

  Subject to notice period.
• Hours:
  
  Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle provided.
• Salary:
  Permanent, Full Time, Hourly Paid.
