Vehicle & Plant Fitter

Overview

We are passionate about compliance, safety, and operational efficiency, and we are looking for an experienced Vehicle & Plant Fitter to join our team in Beauly to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet and plant equipment.

• Conduct mechanical assessments on GCU vehicles and plant to determine repair needs, damages, and required parts.
• Perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned vehicles and plant, completing garage repair, service sheets, and defect rectifications.
• Carry out function tests on plant equipment before issuing it to teams and manage the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine.
• Ensure the safe use of workshop tools and chemicals, as well as maintaining workshop security and tools at the end of each shift.

• Previous experience in a relevant fitter or technician role.
• You must be proficient in workshop health and safety practices and able to work independently, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as is proficiency in using computer systems for accurate record-keeping.
