Security Officer - Historic Members-Only Building

Location: Covent Garden, London
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week), Monday to Saturday (4 on 3 off) Times vary - Various shifts that cover from 7am - 10pm
Salary: Starting at 27,500, rising to 28,934 after successful completion of a 3-month probation period

The Role

We are seeking a professional and proactive Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our members, staff, tenants, and visitors. This is a high-profile role requiring vigilance, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a prestigious environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and conduct regular patrols inside and around the building.
• Respond to alarms and assist with emergency evacuations.
• Issue visitor passes and provide directions and assistance to guests.
• Monitor deliveries, conduct random baggage checks, and handle suspicious packages appropriately.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and administrative records.
• Liaise with emergency services and external authorities when required.
• Provide First Aid when necessary (training provided).
• Uphold health & safety standards and follow security protocols.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Current SIA Manned Guarding Licence/Door Supervision
• 5-year verifiable work history
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and organisational ability
• Physically fit and able to meet role requirements
• Smart and presentable

Desirable:

• SIA CCTV Licence
• Experience in historic or listed buildings/private members' environments
• Qualified First Aider
