Deputy Technical Lead (Ecology)

We are looking for an experienced technical leader within the ecology sector to lead the coordination of ecology surveys, data management, mitigation, and reporting related to species specialism for a major client.

As a long‑term secondment support to the Technical Lead for bats, mammals, ornithology, habitat and BNG, you will:

• Coordinate ecology surveys and manage data, mitigation and reporting.
• Assist the Technical Lead in scoping and specifying technical impact assessment work.
• Contribute to the technical aspects of assessment delivery.
• Draft text for assessment reports.
• Work with a team of ecologists to deliver survey work, analysis and reporting that supports the assessment process.

Requirement of a full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

• Previous experience at a high level within teams focusing on Habitat and BNG deliverables.
• Experience prescribing and implementing mitigation measures.
• Experience ensuring compliance with client quality, cost and time requirements.

• Chartered or full accredited membership (or working towards one) from a relevant professional institute or equivalent.

• Excellent organisational skills.
