Customer Team Leader

Pay: £13.99 per hour

Contract:

30‑39 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings, afternoons, late evenings, weekends – will be discussed e also includes work in the in‑store bakery.

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co‑op, as you'll need to authorise age‑related sales.

We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co‑op.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver friendly, thoughtful service every day, often working in the in‑store bakery and taking ownership of store operations and challenging situations.
  • Develop your team’s capabilities through coaching, training and fostering an inclusive culture that values everyone’s voice.
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal and fully operational.
  • Maintain diligence checks and stock accuracy to give customers a great shopping experience.
  • Support the store manager by deputising when they’re not working and by delivering a variety of HR processes.
  • Lead the introduction of new products and services, working closely with the team to implement change and encourage open, honest feedback.
  • Build relationships and get involved in the local community, supporting the Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co‑op community plan.
