Location London (with UK travel as required) Contract Type Project-Based / Fixed-Term (69 months) Delivery-focused role with defined commercial targets About the Role We are seeking a commercially aggressive, results-driven Sales Lead to drive UK market entry and revenue generation for two complementary footwear propositions:
Our Brand a luxury heritage hybrid footwear brand White-Label Footwear premium hybrid formal shoes manufactured for UK retailers under their own branding This role is fundamentally a sales role, not a marketing or brand-building position. Success will be measured by new retail relationships, concession placements, white-label agreements, and signed supply contracts. The successful candidate will act as a commercial bridge between: UK retailers, concession operators, buyers, and brand directors Overseas footwear factories responsible for producing Our Brand and white-label collections About Our Brand Our Brand is a luxury heritage footwear brand specialising in hybrid formal shoescombining:
Traditional formal styling Casual flexibility and modern comfort High-quality materials, precise stitching, and premium finish The brand is designed for:
Young city commuters seeking comfort without sacrificing formality Established gentlemen and club-oriented consumers who value craftsmanship and refinement Alongside Our Brand , a complementary white-label footwear range is availablemanufactured to the same high quality and construction standards, but developed with flexible, adaptable design language to suit individual retailer briefs and branding requirements. Core Objectives (Non-Negotiable) Secure UK retail placements for Our Brand (concessions, independent stores, department stores) Secure white-label supply agreements with UK retailers and footwear brands Build a repeatable outbound sales pipeline Convert samples into commercial orders and contracts
Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus) Identify and target:
Footwear retailers Department stores Concession operators Multi-brand boutiques Private-label buyers and sourcing teams Execute high-volume outbound sales activity, including:
Cold emailing Cold calling Linked In outreach Direct buyer introductions Confidently present both:
Our Brand as a brand proposition White-label footwear as a manufacturing solution Lead negotiations from first contact through to signed supply or concession agreements 2. KPI & Performance Accountability This role is governed by clear, non-negotiable KPIs, including:
Number of qualified UK retail leads generated Number of buyer meetings secured Number of sample requests issued Number of active commercial opportunities Number of retail placements and white-label contracts secured Revenue and order volume generated within the contract period Regular performance reporting is mandatory.
3. Product, Quality & Factory Liaison (Critical) Act as a translator between UK footwear standards and overseas factories Review footwear samples against UK retail expectations, including:
Materials Construction Comfort and flexibility Stitching accuracy Finish and detailing Provide clear, constructive, and technical feedback to factories Comment on sample refinement until products meet UK retail-ready standards Ensure consistency between Our Brand branded shoes and white-label equivalents
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy Understand UK footwear pricing, margin expectations, and buyer psychology Advise on:
Range positioning Price architecture Competitive differentiation Feed back real-world buyer insights to inform ongoing development Candidate Profile This role requires a confident closer, not a passive relationship manager. Essential Experience Proven experience in UK footwear sales, sourcing, or retail business development Track record of closing B2B deals with retailers or brands Experience working with overseas footwear factories Strong understanding of UK footwear quality expectations Comfortable with cold outreach and rejection Able to sell both branded and white-label propositions Highly Desirable Existing relationships with UK footwear buyers or retailers Experience placing brands into concessions or department stores Strong product eye and attention to detail Experience bridging UK commercial requirements with overseas production Personal Attributes Required Commercially sharp and target-driven Persuasive, credible, and confident with senior buyers Resilient and proactive Highly organised and self-directed Comfortable operating under pressure with minimal supervision Contract Terms Fixed-term, project-based engagement Remuneration aligned to experience and delivery against KPIs Flexible working with UK travel as required Application Process Applicants must submit: CV demonstrating relevant footwear and sales experience A short cover letter outlining:
