Overview

Working for us, you will have the opportunity to work in a busy and exciting environment. You will be responsible for assisting our Cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals whilst ensuring compliance with all aspects of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety. Other duties will include the setting up and clearing away of tables and general cleaning duties. Salary: £25,390.

This post is for 26.25 hours per week / 5.25 hours per day. Hourly rate is £13.16. Working hours are Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks). Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals while ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
  • Set up and clear away tables; general cleaning duties.
Qualifications and requirements
  • The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety. This would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • You will need: a positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other catering duties.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job.
  • Welsh language level – verbal Level 2. You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
