Relief Assistant Cook, Trianaid & TACUN Care Homes

£15.45 per hour (inclusive of £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance per hour).

This position is on an as-and-when basis to cover absences of permanent staff. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.

Relief Assistant Cooks are sought to assist the Cook in Charge in planning, preparing and arranging the serving of meals to users, taking into account choice, best value and food hygiene.

• Assist the Cook in Charge with planning, preparation and serving of meals to service users.
• Ensure meals meet choice, value and food hygiene requirements.
• Work as part of a team and maintain an organised and thorough approach.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and wear PPE as essential.
• Operate within the scope of the PVG Scheme for regulated work with children and adults.

• Experience of large-scale cooking and cleaning, preferably to a cleaning schedule.
• Ability to work as part of a team and in an organised, thorough manner.
• Willingness to read and follow the job description and person specification; detail how you meet each essential criterion in your experience statement.

• The wearing and use of PPE is essential in this position.
• This post is on an as-and-when basis to cover absences of permanent staff.
• PVG membership is required for regulated work with children and adults.
