Site Quality Inspector

Position: Site Quality Inspector (Contract)
Location: Milehill

Our Client are looking a Site Quality Inspector for a 6 months contract to start ASAP near Chesterfield. This is for a solar contract

Project Context & Objective:
The project is in the full construction phase. The objective is to ensure that all mechanical and electrical installations strictly follow the Manufacturer’s Installation Manual and the internal construction checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Field Surveillance: Daily Inspections of ramming, structure and modules mounting, and cabling.
b) Adherence to Manuals:
Verification of torque marks, mounting sequences, and cable management as per supplier specifications.
c) Material Traceability:
Ensuring all components and materials arriving or installed on-site are correctly identified, tracked and verified.
d) Documentary Support:
Assistance in the progressive compilation of the “Technical Memory” and management of checklists and ITPs.
e) Defect Reporting:
Immediate identification of technical “Red Flags” to QA/QC Manager and PM to prevent rework.

Required Profile
a. Proven experience in Large-scale Solar PV Construction, minimum 150 MW,
particularly in quality-related roles.
b. Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
c. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is mandatory
d. Methodical mindset for site record management and material tracking
e.

Languages:

English proficiency is mandatory. Spanish and German language skills will be highly valued
f. Valid UK site access certifications (CSCS or equivalent)

Reporting Line
Direct Reporting to the Project QA/QC Manager (PQM) and the Project Manager (PM)

Candidate needs to have a site ready vehicle (including relevant insurance)
