Summary
The Quality Auditor is a highly motivated pro‑active skilled individual with food safety and quality at the heart of everything they do.
The RoleReporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Auditor optimises daily routine of checking and assuring quality, authenticity, legality and safety standards across the site. This role is on our afternoon shift.
Shift Details:
Afternoon shift Monday to Thursday 13:45 to 22:00, Friday 12:30 to 19:30.
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Check incoming raw materials and ingredients ensuring they meet our internal specification.
- Carry out sampling and testing of raw materials.
- Ensure that weight and temperature measuring equipment is properly calibrated and report issues to the Technical Manager without unreasonable delays.
- Perform regular routine audits on site in line with procedures and customer requirements.
- Report any non‑conformance issues to the Line Manager.
- Ensure internal non‑conformances are investigated thoroughly and efficiently to ensure closure.
- Carry out certain process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
- Ensure that all raw material, work‑in‑progress and finished product are correctly stored, labelled and stock rotated, including checking in chills, and that all non‑conformances are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Conduct customer complaint investigations when requested/required.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
- Level 3 HACCP (beneficial but not essential).
- Quality Auditing experience.
- Knowledge of fish products and production.
- Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
