We are now seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.
What you’ll doWorking with the established HSE Team on site at Long Clawson and at our Bottesford site, you will support HSE for the business by ensuring that it’s at the heart of everything we do, with the aim of ensuring a safe, secure and supportive environment. You will lead on developing, implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in line with regulations and ensuring completion of site legislation compliance matrix

- Keeping up to date with health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- Advise and support the responsible departmental managers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations using People Compliance System (online legal register)
- Perform related duties or activities, as assigned, within your scope of knowledge, skills or experience.
- Self-motivated individual
- Developing, implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in line with regulations and communicate updates across the 2 sites.
- Conducting regular site audits and inspections.
- Identifying hazards, assess the risks and recommend suitable control measures
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HSE role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Environmental qualification and experience
- Good Understanding of Food Safety/Level 2 food Safety.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of UK HSE regulations/ legislation and risk management.
- Organisational skills- good time management and priority setting.
- Training experience and expertise
- Working knowledge of MS Office packages.
- Demonstrates Clawson values.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards.
- Auditing Experience and Training.
- Experience of implementing/ managing environmental permits.
