The RoleWe are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and collaborative team at Shaw Veterinary Centre in Swindon. This role is ideally full time at 40 hours per week including a share of the Saturday rota; however part-time hours of 30 hours will also be considered. We are happy to be flexible with days and shifts to support family life and work-life balance.
You will be a key member of our nursing team, working within a supportive practice that values development, patient welfare, and high clinical standards.
The Role Details
As an RVN at Shaw Veterinary Centre, you will enjoy a varied role including medical and surgical nursing, inpatient care, and supporting consultations. We actively encourage nurses to utilise and develop their full skillset and welcome new ideas, including fear-free approaches wherever possible.
There is no out-of-hours work, allowing you to enjoy a healthy balance between work and home life.
About The PracticeShaw Veterinary Centre is a first-opinion small animal practice caring for the pets of Swindon. Our clinic is dog and cat-friendly and equipped with modern facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a fully equipped theatre.
We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of clinical care with compassion at the heart of everything we do.
The TeamYou will be joining a welcoming and close-knit team made up of:
- 5 Vets
- 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 1 Student Veterinary Nurse
- a dedicated and friendly reception team
We believe RVNs play a vital role within the practice and actively support professional development. Recent development includes a vet currently completing an exotics certificate and a nurse who has completed a behaviour certificate.
