Position: Veterinary Surgeon (Part Time)

As a Veterinary Surgeon, the successful candidate will work as part of a caring and experienced hospital team, contributing to a wide and varied medical and surgical caseload.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

* Providing high-quality medical and surgical care across a varied and challenging caseload

* Making confident, evidence-based clinical decisions with a strong focus on animal welfare

* Discussing realistic treatment options and care plans with clients, taking individual circumstances into account

* Managing cases pragmatically while maintaining best clinical practice

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and expertise

* Contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives

* Supporting the organisation’s mission and encouraging positive client engagement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will:

* Be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and registered with the RCVS

* Be confident managing a diverse medical and surgical caseload

* Demonstrate resilience, adaptability and sound clinical judgement

* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients

* Take a compassionate, welfare-focused and pragmatic approach to care

* Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team

* Be motivated by making a meaningful difference to pets and their owners
