Cairngorms Activities is a fantastic activity centre near Grantown on Spey, within the Cairngorms national park. We have our own Lochan, Laser tag arena, Foot/Disc and Golf course, River Spey beach access, client and separate instructor accommodation and a great range of clients. We have incredible access to Mountains, Crags and rivers nearby for work & play.
About the RoleJoin our instructor team for the 2026 season, guiding and inspiring people in the outdoors as part of a supportive team based in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. You will deliver high-quality outdoor activities to a wide range of clients across land and water-based programmes.
You can live at the staff 3 bed staff cottage during the spring and summer, and our main intake is March/April ahead of the peak season on an hourly rate to let you do staff training and move in before your contract starts
We are recruiting for two specific instructor roles and freelance staff- Monthly guaranteed base pay: £2270.67
- Monthly guaranteed base pay: £1,653

You also:- Hold a recognised First Aid Award (typically 16 hours, in date for season).

Full time:
Typically 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week (longer/shorter days possible).
Season length:
Generally ~6 months (March/April–September); part-time hourly outside this period may be possible.
Yes — relevant National Governing Body qualifications are required for this role. Training and development opportunities are available during the season, but first qualifications must be in place already.
What clothing/equipment do I need?Prepare to instruct in all weather. Safety and leaders’ equipment provided; discounts available for personal kit.
