Mainduties of the job
As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and following all instructions to act on their behalf. You will ensure high standards of care for the residents, undertakings nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. Additionally, you will advise families and GPs of any changes in resident condition, deploy and supervise the care team, and provide high‑quality care through accurate assessment and planning.
Jobresponsibilities
Shift details: 8:00‑20:00
- Undertake nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
- Advise families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, keeping them informed and involved in ongoing care choices.
- Responsibility for effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
- Provide high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

- Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience and up‑to‑date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post‑basic studies or qualifications.
- Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
- Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
- ADBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
