Lympne Castle, Hythe

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Social Media & Web Content Coordinator at beautiful Lympne Castle. As the Social Media & Web Content Coordinator, you will be in charge of content creation, responsible for creating and executing social media campaigns to promote our historic castle and attract visitors from around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a stunning location and make a meaningful impact on our business.

Additionally, you will assist with events and other operational needs of the Castle to help fulfill the vision inspired on our social media campaigns.

Responsibilities:
  • Align with the vision of the leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to promote the castle;
  • Create, curate & organize high-quality content, including photos, videos, and blog posts, to share on social media channels;
  • Create and organize content for the company website(s) and literature;
  • Create, organize & upload content for menus;
  • Monitor social media activity, including comments and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner;
  • Work closely with the castle’s marketing & events team to ensure social media efforts are aligned with broader marketing goals;
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices and make recommendations to improve the castle’s social media presence.
  • Assist with events and operational needs of the Castle.
  • This is a 7-day /week hospitality operation. As such, weekend and evening work will be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or related field;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media content creation including demonstrated competence in successful social media campaigns that drive traffic and revenue growth;
  • Skilled at using Canva to create social media and marketing images & materials;
  • Skilled at photography, videography and related editing;
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a variety of social media channels;
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and ability to use data to inform social media strategy;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Creative and able to think outside the box;
  • Previous experience in the travel and/or hospitality sector is advantageous;
  • Passion for travel and history, with an interest in promoting heritage sites and tourism in the UK.

Pay: £30,120.00 – £31,120.00 per year
