Selexa Life Sciences are partnered with Quvara Medical in the search for their next Manufacturing Maintenance Technician.
Shift: Days role, 10:00 - 22:00 3 on, 3 off shift rotation
Role Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide electrical and mechanical support across a high-volume automated manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while working in a GMP-controlled cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and carry out fault finding
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) activities using SAP
- Monitor machine performance and analyse breakdown trends
- Manage and maintain machine spare parts inventory
- Support continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
- Assist with risk assessments and health & safety activities
- Support training and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
- Participate in shift and production meetings when required
Required Experience
- Experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience maintaining high-speed automated assembly equipment
- Experience working with planned maintenance systems
- Ability to work independently and respond to breakdowns under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Desirable Experience
- Experience with in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Knowledge of cleanroom / GMP environments
- Experience with PLC fault finding and diagnostics
- Practical knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
- Experience delivering process improvement projects
- Electrical/Mechanical qualification (Apprenticeship, HND, or Degree)
- 17th Edition wiring (or equivalent)
