Job DescriptionThe Workshop Technician (Intermediate) is responsible for the manufacture, assembly, servicing, and quality control of bespoke communication systems and electrical harnesses used within professional motor sport and event environments. Based in the MRTC workshop at Stanford House, the role requires high standards of workmanship, precision soldering, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to produce reliable, race‑ready equipment. The successful candidate will support the build and maintenance of customised radio, intercom, and wiring solutions, ensuring that all products meet MRTC’s strict quality standards before being sent to a wide range of motor sport events.

The Workshop Technician (Intermediate) is expected to consistently produce high‑quality work with strong attention to detail, ensuring that all products are manufactured and tested to the highest professional standard. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced workshop environment, often under tight deadlines aligned with global race calendars.
Responsibilities- Manufacturing customised MRTC equipment to an extremely high standard.
- Servicing and maintaining radio and headset communication equipment.
- Manufacturing electrical harnesses of a very high quality.
- Undertaking regular in‑house training to develop existing knowledge.
- Maintaining an organised workspace.
- Extensive soldering and electronic component repair skills.
- Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Proficiency in all basic electronic techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation.
- Strong teamwork skills, alongside individual focus and initiative.
- Composure under pressure, with drive to meet tight deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
