Workshop Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Foreperson, Workshop Manager or Supervisor ready for the challenge of managing our light fabrication shop. As Workshop Manger, you will oversee the full day-to-day operation of the workshop, driving efficiency, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and develop the workshop team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Liaise with our existing client base as well as identify potential new customers.
• Collate men hours and materials for invoicing purposes.
• Oversee fabrication, welding, and assembly processes to meet production and quality targets.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Coordinate closely with fabrication, welding supervisors and project engineers to ensure production targets are met.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Fabrication workshop and supervision.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand fabrication processes.
• Good communication skills and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred:
  Basic Microsoft Word knowledge.

Gray Fabrication is a medium to heavy Fabrication/Engineering Company based in Cupar, Fife. We have more than 40 years of extensive experience serving the Offshore, Energy and General Engineering sectors and more recently, the Renewables industry.

4 Day working week: 4 x 9.75hrs - £42k to 46k depending on experience.

Overtime rates are x 1.5 Monday - Saturday and x 2 Sunday.

Annual holidays 257.4 hours - Flexible subject to suitable cover and Christmas/New year break.
