We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager to join their high-performing manufacturing team and drive operational excellence across their production facility.

As the Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager, you will take ownership of operational performance, people leadership, and process optimisation. This is a pivotal role, ensuring products are manufactured to specification, delivered on time, and meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate all production activities to meet manufacturing schedules, cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Lead and motivate a team of circa 30 within production. Managing staffing levels, recruitment, and development, ensuring your team is supported.
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and process optimisation
  • Take ownership of production planning and scheduling within a primarily Excel driven environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, while managing budgets, waste, stock and operational KPIs

About you:

  • Proven experience leading production within a complex manufacturing environment, with full accountability for output, quality and delivery
  • Strong experience managing and developing teams of circa 30 production staff, including team leaders and operators
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean techniques
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience managing production planning and scheduling
  • Exposure to ERP implementation projects, with appetite to support the future rollout of SAP
