Position: Machine Operator (Permanent)
Location: Normanton Turville

DC Personnel are recruiting for a Machine Operator for our client a specialist manufacturer in the Desford area of Leicestershire.

Hours:

7:30- 4:30 Monday to Thursday & 7:30-12:30 Friday. 39 hours per week

Pay: £27,378 per year (Overtime availible)

Full time Permanent role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision parts and components.

You will:

• Have a background in engineering

• Operated 3 Axis Manual Milling machines and 4 Axis CNC

• Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials

• Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.

• Physical lifting required due to the nature of the product.

• Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others.

• Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.

Knowledge &

Skills:

• Previous machinist experience ideal

• Engineering Level 2 and understanding of CAD is preferable.

• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

• Able to read technical drawings and perform measurements.

• Basic computer skills.

• Workshop and production health & safety practices.

Personal skills:

• Good time keeping

• Reliable team player

• Able to multi-task

• Ability to learn and develop new skills

• Has a ‘can do’ approach

• Accurate and with a good attention to detail

• Ability to respond to short lead times requiring a flexible approach
