Plate and Bar Saw Operator

PLATE & BAR SAW OPERATOR - BIRMINGHAM
Full-Time On-Site Manufacturing

Let's not over complicate this.

If you've run Friggi plate saws and Kasto bar saws, you already know what good looks like.
If you haven't - this isn't your role.

We're looking for a skilled operator who understands precision, respects tolerances, and doesn't need babysitting.

You'll be responsible for processing and cutting specialty metals to exact specifications using:

• Friggi Plate Saws (essential)

• Kasto Bar Saws (essential)

Daily work includes:

• Operating and setting saw machinery accurately

• Reading and interpreting job sheets and specifications

• Monitoring machine performance

• Carrying out routine maintenance checks

• Performing quality inspections using measuring equipment

• Using hand tools safely and effectively

• Working to production targets without compromising quality

• Following strict health & safety procedures

This is hands-on. It's production-driven. It requires attention to detail.

Non-negotiable:

• Proven experience operating Friggi plate saws

• Proven experience operating Kasto bar saws

• Strong understanding of quality control standards

• Confidence using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges)

• Solid awareness of workshop health & safety

If you can't set, run and monitor these machines independently - this won't be the right fit.

• Previous experience within a metals or manufacturing environment

• Technical training or relevant certification

• Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)
