About the Role
The Plant Fitter will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a varied plant fleet, primarily within the workshop. Work will be carried out in line with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and internal procedures. The role requires a methodical approach, good fault-finding ability, and pride in completing work properly rather than quickly.
Responsibilities include:
* Servicing and repairing plant equipment in a workshop environment
* Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
* Completing inspections and maintenance records accurately
* Preparing machines to a high standard before hire
* Identifying potential issues and carrying out preventative maintenance
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working area
* Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and operations team
