Surface Finish Supervisor

Overview

The Production team oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all manufacturing and assembly activities within our fabrication facilities. They ensure that bespoke mechanical and electrical components are produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and delivered on schedule. By maintaining streamlined workflows and close collaboration with design and project teams, the Production department plays a key role in supporting timely and successful project delivery.

The Surface Finish Supervisor is responsible for leading, motivating and developing the paint and shot blasting teams to deliver high-quality work safely, on time and to plan. The role focuses heavily on people management, team building, daily planning, workflow control and achieving production deadlines while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping. They will act as the link between production management and shop-floor teams, ensuring clear communication, strong performance culture and continuous improvement.

• Lead and manage the paint and blast teams, fostering a safe, high-performing, and collaborative culture while overseeing attendance, performance, training, and development.
• Plan and allocate workloads efficiently to meet production schedules, monitor progress, and ensure resources, materials, and equipment are available.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer specifications, promote right-first-time practices, and maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Uphold health, safety, and compliance through risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and safe work practices.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing lean initiatives, efficiency projects, and engaging the team in problem-solving and skills development.
