This is the perfect time for a hard-working and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer
, to join our busy Maintenance Team.

Role

What’s the role about?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

Working 42 hours per week, the current shift pattern covers days and nights, Monday – Sunday. Here is an example of the shift pattern:

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous running of the production process by fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain equipment across hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Minimise downtime through safe and logical maintenance approaches.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimise plant availability.
Skills & Qualifications
  • A good electrical working knowledge with mechanical experience is essential
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • A thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Significant experience and knowledge of maintenance of a variety of plant
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with operatives and team leaders from maintenance and production
