Hygiene Skilled Operative

Summary

We are looking for an experienced hygiene operative to join our hygiene team to maintain exceptional cleaning standards.

This vital role involves ensuring factory cleanliness post-production by following hygiene protocols and adhering to safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks, with weekend work required on a rota basis.

Shift Details:
Monday to Thursday 20:00‑04:00 & Fridays 18:00‑01:00

Pay Rate: £13.60 per hour

• Be responsible for the hygiene of the factory after the day's production is completed as per hygiene specifications.
• Ensure all equipment is in good condition before start of shift.
• Report any non‑conformances to responsible person on site as soon as possible.
• Follow good manufacturing practices at all times.

• Experience in a food production environment is advantageous.
• Understanding of chemicals and their properties.
• Basic mechanical skills for fault finding.
• Experience of working to company procedures and work instructions.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete production monitoring documentation.
• Effective time management and the ability to work independently in assigned areas.
• Attention to detail is critical, as factory startup depends on maintaining high hygiene standards.
