Production Operative

PRODUCTION OPERATIVES NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE

We are seeking a Production Operative for a well established manufacturing business based in the Hortonwood area of Telford, Shropshire, the working hours for this job will initially be day shifts (7.45am 4.15pm Monday to Thursday , 8.00am 1.00pm Friday) - 37 hours per week, but after a 12 week probation period you will move onto a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern Monday to Friday.

The starting rate of pay is £12.80 per hour whilst working on day shifts, but once you move onto a permanent contract and the rotating shift pattern, your pay rate will increase to £15.74 per hour (which includes a shift allowance), with the top end pay rate being £16.18 per hour once you are fully trained and signed off as a competent operator.

Previous experience from within the aerospace, automotive or electronics industry would be well received.

What You Will Do:

• Checking and cleaning parts before they are loaded onto the lamination machine
• Verify components against technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Monitor machine performance and address any operational concerns.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing department to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure all components meet customer standards before progressing to the next production phase.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company procedures.

What You Will Bring:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with sheet metal, stainless steel, or aluminium is desirable.
• Awareness of COSHH standards or experience working within COSHH guidelines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
