A leading supplier of process equipment and engineering solutions to the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology sectors is expanding its UK operations and now seeks a Stores Service Operative to join its growing team.

This role is ideal for someone organised, mechanically inclined, and eager to develop their technical skill set within a supportive and fast paced environment.

About the Role

Working from the Cwmbran facility and reporting to the UK Operations Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of stores, workshop, and service activities. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Duties

  • Managing Goods Inwards, Goods Outwards and inventory control activities
  • Overseeing stock components from work in progress to finished goods
  • Preparing and supervising outgoing packages with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Carrying out in house assembly, overhaul and testing of products, particularly valve related equipment
  • Operating workshop equipment including forklifts, tools and testing devices
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound freight with logistics partners
  • Supporting workshop scheduling in line with operational requirements
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to PPE and safety guidelines
  • Ensuring workshop and stores areas, tools and equipment are well maintained
  • Working in line with ISO 9000 Quality and Health & Safety procedures
  • Assisting with additional tasks to support wider business operations

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, hands on approach and a willingness to learn. You should have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A mechanically minded approach with practical problem solving ability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and a positive, innovative attitude to work
  • Experience using inventory management or other company IT systems
  • Secondary level education or equivalent
  • Practical mechanical and/or electrical knowledge (advantageous)
  • Forklift/Counterbalance experience
