Saw Operator

Pay : £13.75 per hour

Afternoon shift — either 12:00–22:00 (Mon–Thurs) or 14:00–22:00 (Mon–Fri)

Our client, a specialist supplier of precision‑machined and fabricated components, is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team. This is a hands‑on role supporting the movement, storage, preparation, and dispatch of a range of products. Candidates must be confident operating a counterbalance forklift, with saw‑cutting experience considered a strong advantage.

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and store goods
• Carry out saw‑cutting tasks when required, accurately cutting components to size
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment
• Support stock control processes, including record keeping and regular inventory checks
• Provide light support to production areas where required (e.g., packaging, assembly preparation)

• Valid, in‑date Counterbalance FLT licence — essential
• Previous warehouse experience, ideally including forklift operation and handling longer or heavier materials
• Experience in saw cutting (metal, timber, or similar) — desirable but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following Health & Safety procedures
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shift requirements
