Evening Shift Supervisor

Our client is an established engineering company based in Bodiam, East Sussex. They are currently looking for an Evening Shift Supervisor to join their busy and friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar position, experience in either Laser Cutting, Press Brake or Welding and Fabrication, knowledge of steel work and a clear understanding of engineering drawings. As an Evening Shift Supervisor
, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining the quality processes as well as allocating work to the production team for the evening shift.

This role does require a valid UK driving Licence and own transport due to the company s location.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience within a similar position
• Possess experience and knowledge of steel work
• Demonstrable experience in MIG Welding
• Have good IT skills
• Possess a clear understanding of engineering drawings
• Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A full valid UK Driving Licence and own transport is essential
• Hold a forklift licence (training can be provided)

Your duties as an Evening Shift Supervisor will include:

• Working closely with the Production Team Leader to create a clear priority of works
• Managing and gathering time sheets from the production team for processing for team members
• Ensuring all production team members have everything they need to carry out the tasks
• Working from issued drawings and signing off work as required
• Holding team members to accounts for hitting certain output each day
• Responsible for ensuring health and safety standards are met in and around the factory
• Training staff on the correct quality standards as and when required
• Responsible for general appearance of the place, keeping the floor space clear of clutter and rubbish
• Reporting on key data for the department and ensuring its recorded
• Working alongside the team to help boost production in one of the key areas in the factory Laser Cutting, Press Brake or Welding and Fabrication
• Following all processes and procedures contained within the company ISO
  9001/BSEN
  1090 QMS relating to the goods in and goods out process
• Accompanying others when Supplier and Customer visits are required to ensure quality and processes are being maintained
• Reporting any deviations from the standards agreed

Salary:

£17.60 - £19.25 per hour depending on experience (This includes an uplift of 18% for the evening shift rate)

• Monday Friday,1.45pm 10pm
• 41.25 hours per week
• Permanent
