Position: Instrument Assembly Operator (Permanent)
Location: Wotton Underwood

Azenta Life Sciences are looking for an Instrument Assembly Cell Operator to join our manufacturing team based in Wotton. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and testing of life science instruments, including rework and sub-assembly manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong practical skills who enjoys working in a structured production environment.

What You Will Be Doing

* Manufacture, assemble, calibrate, and test life science instruments in line with defined work instructions.

* Work to a production schedule to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

* Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions and parts lists, and gathering required tools, materials, and sub-assemblies.

* Assemble components by ensuring correct fit and fastening of parts and sub-assemblies.

* Verify product specifications by measuring completed components.

* Complete work order documentation and transactions using the ERP system.

* Raise quality issues in line with company Quality procedures.

* Carry out basic preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and escalate repairs when required.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in compliance with all procedures and regulations.

* Monitor and maintain inventory levels, anticipate supply needs, and support ordering and receipt of materials.

What You Will Need

* Experience working with electrical components, including soldering.

* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing systems.

* Ability to understand and follow detailed procedures and work instructions.

* A solid understanding of relevant principles, techniques, and processes within the discipline.

* Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

* A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
