Job Description:

SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Recruitment Division is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Permanent Semi-Skilled Control Panel Wirer in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company involved in the design and manufacture of electrical control panels. It’s ideal for candidates with some wiring experience who are looking to grow their skills in a long-term role.

Main Duties:

* Assist in the assembly and wiring of control panels

* Follow basic wiring diagrams and layout drawings

* Strip, crimp, and terminate cables to specification

* Mount components such as relays, terminal blocks, and switches

* Support skilled panel builders with layout and wiring

* Maintain a clean and safe working area

* Conduct basic electrical checks (e.g. continuity)

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or similar

* Able to read basic electrical diagrams (training can be provided)

* Proficient in electrical systems and components

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble complex systems

* Experience with logic controllers and their programming is advantageous

* Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) is preferred

* Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely

Desirable:

* Level 2 Electrical qualification (or similar)

* Experience in a manufacturing or automation environment

Working Hours:

* Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30

* Friday: 07:30 – 13:30

* 39-hour working week

* Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates

Pay:

* £13.00 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience, PAYE)

* Accrued holiday pay
