Manual Turner

Our client is an Engineering company based in the Manchester area and they require a skilled Manual Turner to join them on a permanent basis.

The role requires the use of manual lathes in the workshop to produce parts related to breakdowns and part refurbishments, manufacturing new parts using manual lathes with the specified material to high tolerances. You must have good manual turning skills and be able to thread cut, cut tapers, use bearing tolerances, cut circlip grooves all to achieve accurate replacement parts.

You will from time to time be required to visit sites around the Manchester area to measure up and manufacture replacement parts so you must have a driving license.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm.

The basic salary is up to £38,500 and there is regular overtime and other great benefits.
